I meant to flag this up a while ago. It's a wonderful collection of local and unrecorded, until now, Gaelic songs from Ross-shire, Scotland. Fiona's singing is sublime, and she won the covetted MOD gold medal two years ago in Stornoway. She is assisted by a host of excellent musicians and singers.

The cd also features some really tasty bouzouki accompaniment by Eamon Doorley of Danu, and I would recommend this to any bouzouki player looking to find a great example of how to play with a singer in an understated and delicate, yet pervasive manner. No mean feat.

It's available from Footstompin, and other places webwise, if you search deeper. Highly recommended.
