I decided to take a cue from Ronnie and post a photo of what I've been working on. Quilted maple top on alder body, rosewood fretboard, flamed maple neck with ebony headstock. Its ready for stain and finish but haven't decided on a color. Any suggestions?

It's screaming cherry red to me. Although, my friend just bought a Schecter guitar this weekend that is charcoal gray. That might work as well. I like the curves. It looks good.

Well, its getting a coat of yellow tonight and hopefully tomorrow the beginning of a red burst. I liked the Gibson LP finish in the StewMac finishing book, so thats what I'm shooting for. I'll post photos next week after I get a couple coats of lacquer on it.
It is getting a simple single coil pickup with a nickel cover.

That is cool. Do you get into the tuners while playing? What is between the bridge and the pickup?

When finished, there will be an armrest to protect the tuners. The thing between bridge and pickup is a little abalone inlay (my first attempt).

I'll start a proper thread for it when it's completed(rather than hijack yours!!)

Thought I'd post an updated photo. Hopefully it will be done next week.
