Here are some pics of my Monteleone copy. It has a redwood top. Sweet tone, Woody dry bass, clear bell like treble! Alot of punch to the chop. Real complex tone on this one.

Here's the back.
The peghead. I got the inlaid peghead veneer off ebay.
Here's the back of the peghead with a burled walnut veneer.
That looks great, Skip. I like that inlay.

Thanks guys for all the compliments! This mandolin sounds better than I ever could hope for. The mandolin is as loud as anything I have played. It cuts through a jam with no problem and the redwood gives it a tone as though it is a real old mandolin.
looking good john, er, i mean skip! it's a dead-ringer for a monte

IT's great seeing something other than Gibson clones.
Differant strokes for differant folks, but i personally always thought the G.A. was a much better looking Mandolin.
GREAT JOB !!!
A++. A real beauty!

Skip was this from either Bruce Wei or Antonio Tsai and does it look as good in person as it does in the pictures.Originally Posted by (Skip Kelley @ Nov. 10 2006, 09:56)

Bill, the inlay was from Antonio. It is very nicely done.
