    The original shape has been changed and anyone from novice to expert are welcome. The mando shown in the website does not represent the new design. The one pictured here does.
    I will custom put together your kit (within reason).

    Am I correct in thinking that the same skills and tools that you would use to make an Octave Mandolin could be used in making a acoustic guitar from a kit?

    I'd say probably...

    The nice thing about Don's workshop (from my perspective) is that he provides the materials, tools and lots of great hands-on instruction. In addition, my kit project at home is taking forever b/c it's hard to find the time... but going away for a long weekend to build ensures that it gets done.

    But yes, I'd say mostly the same types of skills, tools, etc.
