I got to meet Jethro Burns and visit with him back stage in Leon Redbone's dressing room of all places. #He was playing with Steve Goodman who was opening for Leon Redbone at the Paladium in Dallas a long time back (late 70s? #early 80s?). #Anyway, after the concert I struck up a conversation with Redbone's tuba player and he took me backstage to meet Leon and there is Jethro and Steve hanging out in Leon's room. #I got to stay there about 20 minutes and they were all very cool to a 20 year old guitar freak.
Moral of the story - be nice to the tuba player.
