I put this in another thread and got no takers, so I thought I'd drop it in here. I did a search for Copperhead Road and found a link to the song with chords tabbed out. Great, BUT there were some letters between some of the chords, i.e. P A U S, that I don't understand what they mean. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

    I don't know about P A U S but here's a mando tab:

Anyone else care to take a stab at it?

Can you share the link that included "PAUS" so we can see it?

What came to mind was perhaps "Pause" with the "e" missing, but without seeing it, who knows.

    Here is the link that has the P A U S: [URL=http://hem.passengen.se/patlund/copperhead]http://hem.passengen.se/patlund/copperheadroad.htm.

I tried contacting Pat, but the address was no good.

I couldn't get this link to work. #Search copperhead road here at the cafe and it is the last one that comes up. #When you pull up the replys, the link is in one of the #replys. #I don't know why I couldn't get it to work.
    Thanks in advance.

There are some words misspelled in your link. This one works:
    http://hem.passagen.se/patlund/copperhead_road.htm

I can't figure out what any of those letters mean. Maybe it is playing instructions in Swedish, the language of the web page.

Thanks JB. That was what I thought, but it seemed too obvious. I don't have the record, but the best I remember, Steve Earl is playing like half notes during the verse, so not being able to show a rest, Pat used the word pause without the e.

Paus is indeed Swedish for "pause" or "rest". Seems the chords
in the chorus are played on the off-beat. But I'm just as puzzled as
everybody else by the P:s all over the fretboard.
    Perhaps just an inconsistency.

Copperhead Road was the first song I ever played properly on mandolin. #I played the mandolin part on guitar in my band for years until I got one. #Now I'm slowly working on transcribing the guitar fills for mandolin. #Maybe when I'm done I can get Scott to let me post them in the Tablature section. #How do we do that, anyway?
