I have a 2 year old set of silver Waverly tuners on my varnished F5 that have become very tarnished. What is the recommended way to rejuvenate the silver to its original luster without harming the finish on the mandolin? Remove them and use Maas polishing creme or something similar,or is there a treated polishing cloth for silver on the market that won't harm the varnish?

Check with Stew/Mac for their recommendation, also with Rio Grande Jewelery Supply. Stew/Mac should know their machines, and Rio Grande certainly know jewelry metals.
