#2 F5 is coming along good

another couple of days and i will be ready to put the binding on. i would like to try and tape the binding before staining. what is the best tape to keep out stain??
i don't mind to scrape the bindings, had a few small bad places on #1, where i didn't know what i was doing i think.
any help would be appreciated.

I like the vinyl pin striping tape sold at automotive stores. It doesn't pucker like masking tape, stretches around the corners and comes in lots of widths.
