I'm looking for recommendations for a good pickup for mandocello. I have a Weber Gallatin with F holes so I can't put anything inside. Does anyone have suggestions?

The Kent Armstrong suspended jazz humbucker might work, depending on the width of the end of the fingerboard.
Schertler, mine works fine with any of several mandolins, mandola, and the guitar,
One does it for all. nothing to install.

I have been looking at Schertler but I'm not sure whether to use the Dyn-M for mandolin or get the Dyn-G for guitar since the mandocello is pitched closer to a guitar rather than a mandolin. I was hoping to get some feedback on how the Schertlers work on octaves and mandocellos.

Open Secret...Its the same pickup, they just change the length of the cable, the guitar version is, apparently, shorter.
Handling trick, I put extra pickup cable and the mic cable end its plugged into in My pocket [zippered, vest] often.. less tripping over the pickup's kevlar reinforced thin cable.
