    What's with the red binding in the first shot? don't look like tape. Is it a different mando?

    Im guessing the red is painters tape, like the kind use for creating flames or pin stripes and various other patterns. Im guessing he uses it so he has a lot less binding scraping to do.

    Thanks a lot, folks! Yes, the red binding is just plastic tape. I cover up most of the binding, leaving just a little line next to the wood to scrape, which seems to save some time and make my scraping a little cleaner. It's the best tape I've found, but I wish it wasn't red, because it has a way of making all my stains look really nasty until I get a sealer coat on and take the tape off.

    I like the endpin with the big loop! I can't see a strap slipping off of that too easily.
