a weber 5-string solidbody electricmando came into bozemans local music shop the other day. I played it and you can see it on their website.

Looks great- i especially liked the headstock. but enough about looks, you can see that on the website.

The sound was good too. It didnt blow me away, but it was good to see another quality emando on the market. They used a dimarzio.
neck is quality- as all webers are.

One thing i noticed was that the strings were awfully close together. I dont play 5 strings so i dont know how they usually are, but this one seemed closer than usual.

This was just a prototype and it didnt have a price tag, but send weber suggestions if you have anything that you want to see on the mando.

The nut width is 1 3/16 inches and the width at the 22nd fret is 1 11/16 inches so it is a bit larger than our standard fretboard but not as big as the 1 1/4 inch fretboards that we have done in the past for some customers. 1 3/16 seemed to be a good compromise but we can do the larger size if it will be better for electric playing styles.

Thanks for the feedback - it's always appreciated on a new product.

We have also changed the peghead inlay to a new design that will be more unique to this instrument. The original inlay will still be available as an option.
