Does anyone know where I can find a complete list of the recordings of monroe, watts, wise, flatt and scruggs? There has got to be a list somewhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Seach the web under Discography is your best bet. For Monroe, the 4 pack CD I have lists all his recordings in the back. I'm assuming they are only 33s, not 45s.

I heardly think 'classic' Monroe is limited to the Flatt & Scruggs band. The duets with Jimmy Marting and Edd Mayfield supercede the Flatt - Monroe sound. IMNSVHO, but of course!

There's a new Bear Family Box set that covers this time period. They are usually pretty comprehensive. I have the 16 Gems CD and also the Columbia 2 CD set "Essential Bill Monroe" which has some out-takes of some of the material released on the 16 Gems CD. If you search these out, that should give you a comprehensive list. The Bear Family Box also includes the pre-Bluegrass Boys Monroe Bros. recordings.
