Looking at one in decent shape, needs a set up, tweeking etc, but no big issues- what's a good price range?

    Thanks!

I just got a '24 Ajr for $1500.00 that plays ands sounds just great, but has repaired cracks and some slight separations, a new bridge and no pickguard. #I think 2K is closer to normal for one in better shape. #That or I got robbed #Nah, I did fine, this mando is a great one regardless of price and ugliness.

I see them going from $1200-$1800 bucks. A real nice one sold recently on ebay for $1299. it was real clean I think the snakehead Ajr's are a good buy, all the improvements and tone, without the high price tag of binding and inlay

Gruhn has one listed at $2000. I think Greg Boyd has/had one at $1900 with a refinish.

12th Fret has one for $1300 American, and Buffalo Bros. has one for $1250. Tempting, to be sure.

The ones I have seen have Gibson silkscreened on the peghead. #1200-1500 seems to be a good price. #Check with Charles Johnson's site he has a few.

Willie's American Guitars in St. Paul, MN has a 1923 jr. listed for $1095. From the picture it looks like it's seen some use.

No connection with the store on my part.

My '24 does not have a truss rod, at least not an adjustable rod, I think there may be a stiffening rod in the neck. Also no logo on the headstock.
