I just finished doing some work on my mandolin, and im about to carve a pickguard but I want a classy one. I hoped yuall could give me some ideas.

This one is Brazillian Rosewood to match the fingerboard and binding.
..John..I really like the looks of that PG...it really flows in contrast with the end of the fingerboard...fine lookin tail piece too...
I really like that maple one,I havent yet used maple. The one I made was out of bloodwood. Ill try to get a pic on here soon. I like how you mach the sunburst

yea..I know..I suck...its just a cheap slim line job....Im gonna have to invest in a bettern thats fer sure...now you have to admit that the second pic is a whole lot better...

True, those last two may not be for everybody, but I like them both where they are.
Especially that marbly turquoisy one, Django fret. It looks at once retro and modern. It reminds me of those old celluloid fountain pens.
