    A while back there was a thread about is it good to take your mandolin on the beach. Answer: Yes
    Here is a shot with friend/former band mate Beth Mead on banjo and my then young son. This was at the Jersey shore early 90's.

    Nice photo. The lady in the background seems to be enjoying it.

    I usually look for frowns and folks with their hands over their ears as a sign of how we sound.

    She did come over and ask about the mandolin. My wife took notice! It was at that moment that I realized the mandolin really is a chick magnet! Just what a married guy needs!!

    Sometimes the background of a picture is more interesting as Doug noticed. The image is a little fuzzy but inspiring!
