Thread: Post a pic of your mando

Okay, I'm looking for photos of mandolins that have a non-traditional color scheme. Anything except the plain-ole burst that you see on just about every mandolin. I want to see black-tops, whiskey-colored mandos, and more.

    Thank you

This is Gilchrist A owned by Arthur Stern. I love the contrast of the honeyfinished maple and the balck face. And the tone... well it's a Gil!

I've always liked this one from DeCava, I think someone on the Cafe owns it.

What discussion of non-traditional colors would be complete without mentioning this one?

That sea foam is a knockout. That's what I love about this place. What with HoGo's maple bound F and that Rigel sea foam, I'm gonna have some sweet dreams tonite.

Sheesh, from what some of you guys think is "non-traditional" I'd hate to see what you'd consider "radical." #

Now that is beautiful boboshoes. Great quilted maple on that and the color is perfect.
    If F-model mandolins have F-holes then why don't A-model mandolins have A-holes???

Well, the color is not too far from tradition but the curly maple binding surely is. More pics in other thread.
