Bit of a delay... as often happens. One reason is he decided to re-carve the headstock...

    Check this out...

Man-Oh-Man, now that's what I call 'One-Off'. This one is definitely going to be 'Yours', Karen.

That curly cherry is really something else. Is it going to be stained, or left au' natural?

The bookmatching on the back seems to draw your gaze up to the neckjoint with the two-point config topping it all off.

You've got yourself a special one coming to ya'!

Please keep posting the update pics as they come in.

sure will, Gerry... that was the plan. Make the dream instrument.

The finish will be an oil varnish...without stain.. so essentially au naturel. I love the look of the wood itself.

If it sounds 1/2 as good as it looks, I'll be happy indeed.

I'll post any pics available as I have them...

Just got word that the OM is done. Now all we have to do is settle payment and shipment details. I'll post more photos if I get any and you'll certainly hear when it arrives... with a full review.

That headstock is incredible! I think Brian has connected with some very unusual muses, and will not stop!

I am very very psyched, because mine is probably next!

    More pics, Karen!

ok... I expect to receive the OM next week... I have to move some $ around and want to have him initiate shipping at the beginning of the week so as to avoid weekend shipping limbo. BD said he was going to take a bunch more nice pics before sending it... so I'll post them when I have them.

And Mark-- the unusual muses is why I picked Brian to make my OM...
I can't wait to see what he's doing with your bowlback, but I expect it to be wild and elegant...

    It's next week.
The instrument has crossed the border, and the last tracking info has it in Plattsburgh NY. Should not be more than a couple of days...

Woohoo! Man-Oh-Man, the last few hours of waiting can be the worst. Well, you've waited this long, a few more hours should go by lickety-split.

Besides, from what I've seen of it it will certainly be worth the wait!

Please post more pics? I'm jus' dyin' to see more of the Cherry Wood.

I've posted the pics I have. Brian sez he'll send me more pics tomorrow. You KNOW I'll post 'em when he does. My camera is terrible (built in to my palm pilot) so his will be much better than any I could take. I expect he'll add them to his website eventually too.

and one last one of the front... you get a bit of a view here of the all-wood armrest...

btw...I don't know how many of you saw that a UPS plane caught fire here in Philly last night. Made me glad that Brian went with ground delivery!!! what are the odds that that would happen the very time this might have been coming in?? oy!

    Oh yeah, that's an heirloom...

The Cherry is just gorgeous. Many kudos for keeping it as 'Naked' as possible.

Congratulations, and many years of good music to you!
