    I don't know if you know, Cumin, but Dounis was also a famous mandolinist in his day. Click here for a brief discussion. You can download a recording of Dounis himself here.

    Yes, those are the exercises I referred to in that large book mentioned in this thread. They are very similar to some finger strengthening exercises that Carlo Aonzo put us thru in his workshops.
