Listened to my collection of Bob Wills CDs this weekend.

Ol' Tiny Moore sure can swing.

Anyone else like Tiny and Western Swing?

I did not know that Tiny had a heart attack during a performance.

On one level, that's sad ... on another, what better way to go than while doing what you love?

i think that tiny was one of the all-time greats on any instruments. on those old bob wills records, he sounds like he's from another planet (and i mean that in the best possible way). i got to see tiny in seattle in the early 80's. cotten roberts, who played bass and fiddle in the billy jack wills band with tiny in the 50's was there also. one of the best shows i've ever seen.

I was lucky enough to get to pick some with Tiny at Weiser in the 80's. He was a phenon on mando and got to be a good Texas style fiddler, great guy as well. Could swing like nobodys business.
