i ordered a Ryder Em-45 with the 14.5 inch scale length. i want to know if i could just order a standard acoustic 8 string mandolin case for it.. would it fit well? or is the emando too large? Ryder does make cases for his emandos, but they are 130$
dad tell me, will i be dead very long?

I doubt if it will fit well. I would go with the Ryder case. $130 is not out of line at all and you want to protect a nice instrument like that.

Get the case! That's money very well spent.
