    Default Jim Childress CD

Heads up folks, Old time fiddler Jim Childress has a new cd out of original fiddle music called ‘Fly Away’ , his third album of self penned tunes. The cd features his band Uncle Henry’s Favorites, Adam Hurt & Beth Williams Hartness, and Canadian banjoist Arnie Naiman. Several of his previously released fiddle tunes have gone viral, including ‘The Road to Malvern’, which has been recorded by John Reischman amongst others.

I will be interviewing Jim on my radio show on WTJU Charlottesville on friday May 5th(2023) between 4-6pm US eastern time and we’ll go track by track through the cd. You can listen live at https://www.wtju.net/ or on the WTJU archive for two weeks after the show originally airs at https://www.wtju.net/recent-shows/ ..look for Friday 05/05/23 and my show, ‘Sunset Road’.

Just noticed this again, and the recorded version of the show is about to drop off the list of available show. However, you can find the Jim Childress CD, along with two other ones here: https://jimchildress.bandcamp.com/
