Thread: ToneGard for Big Mon?

  1. #1

    Default ToneGard for Big Mon?

I've got a "normal" F mandolin now, and I have pretty much settled on upgrading to a Northfield Big Mon later this year (currently saving up).

Does anyone have any experience transferring a tonegard from a standard sized mando to a Big Mon? Any luck with that?

    Interested in any feedback. Thanks!

The Toneguard I originally used on a Kentucky KM1050 works fine on my Big Mon.

I have bent the arms holding the Toneguard on to fit several mandolins. It shouldn't be a problem.

As pops1 said, I stretched my tonegard to fit a big mon. No problemo!

Interesting. Northfield classifies the Big Mon as "Enlarged slightly from our standard F5 style". How is this model enlarged? Is it subtle enough that the Tonegard still fits?

The ToneGuard still fits...have a toneguard on my Big Mon as well.
