Help naming an Irish tune

Having recently downsized from guitar to mandolin, I attach
an mp3 of a tune I heard a lot in my youth but never learnt the name.

Would probably be familiar to Celtic musicians here.

Tunepal seems to be down right now.
I did try uploading to various recognition sites last week but none of them came up with anything.
Shazam, Midomo, Google assistant and watzatsong were some I tried.
They seemed to be more focused on pop/rock releases.
Can't recall though if I tried Tunepal at that time.
Thanks for the suggestion - I'll continue to try Tunepal access.

You can always upload an MP3 here, copy the web address of the file (right-click on a PC and selection Copy link address) then paste it in an MP3 BB code tag which results in this which is easier than downloading or listening in browser:

And the file that opens this thread is uploaded correctly here so if anyone is having problems it would be local to your location and device.

Hi Bill -- welcome to “thesession.org”. It’s not how I know it, but what you’re playing sounds to me very like a version of “Bill Hart’s” jig, recorded in the 1960s by “The Dubliners”, and many since. I’ll get you the link.

Could well be the Dubliners’ version I remembered. Any variations in my rendering are down to my not playing this type of music for about 50 years.

Interestingly, in 1974, my last year living in Ireland, I accompanied Ronnie Drew on guitar when he played a concert in Cork just after he left the Dubliners for the first time. He was teatotal at the time and was very pleasant and courteous to the youngster backing him (without any rehearsal as I recall).

Just in case anyone has a similar query, I also got a correct identification 2 days after posting on WatZatSong, the community song identification site.
