Default Gig bag for pancake mandolin?

Figured would start a new thread here. Couldn't find anything recent with a Google search. Anyone have a favorite gig bag they have for a Flatiron type of pancake mandolin? Right now am leaning towards my Eastman bag, but open to other suggestions. It seems a good width and I like the neck cradle. A bit long, but tolerable.

Have tried the TKL that usually goes with Big Muddy. It's a bit on the short side and light on padding. Also tried Blue Heron but that seems a little on the too wide side. And the Reunion Blues Continental tenor uke bag is way too deep.

    Suggestions are appreciated.

I have an Access gig bag. Itís a firm gig bag and you can buy pads for it to exactly fit your mandolin. Itís still a gig bag, but very protective.

Have you ever noticed how much pancake mandolins look like tennis racquets?

Take a trip to your local big box sporting goods store. It's a real plus if your name is Wilson.

Great suggestion Mike. I have an Access 111 bag for one of my mandolins but it would be too deep for a Flatiron mandolin.

Try a Levy's padded gig bag. I have one that works great with a Mid-Missouri mando. It has a pocket on the outside for picks, etc.

Have you called Blue Heron? They have loads of patterns and will make them whatever depth you want.

I used one of the Eastman bags for a Big Muddy. It worked fine. I wish I bought another bag when the Mandolin Store had them for $15 though.. what a deal!
