    Yes!!! I have front row tickets for Lyon. 6 hours of train are more than worth it!

    Any idea what he’s playing on tour atm. If it’s the stuff from his last solo album, Laysongs, I’m not interested.

    I haven't heard Thile's latest solo record, and I've not kept up with Punch Bros for a long time, but I recently got out my copy of Nickel Creek's first record for the first time in a long while. I was struck again by how brilliant that record is: and not just the mandolin playing, but the quality of the songs and melodies, to me, are flat out amazing. It's a really beautiful album with great production and some mind-bending performances, especially considering how young they all were.

    There are probably a lot of younger Thile fans who have never listened to Nickel Creek. If you've never gone that far back with his music, definitely give that first record a listen.

    I saw him 2 weeks ago and he played a mix from his career.Great show.
