    Default Neck Blanks

Hi everyone! I've recently had some trouble securing mandolin neck blanks from my current supplier due to high demand. I'm guessing this issue is wide spread among all suppliers, but wanted to see if anyone might have some suggestions on where to look. I would be looking for highly figured sugar maple or hard red maple. Any tips on where to look would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!

Check the classifieds there is someone there that sells rims and necks. I can’t recall his name, but it was recently posted in the last few weeks.

Thanks, John! I actually hadn't heard of him and will definitely reach out - looks like he's just 30 minutes from me. I appreciate the tip!

The Hampton Brothers in east Tennessee have some of the finest spruce and fancy maple in the country and they are great guys to work with.

Get creative; it is just a little mandolin. You should see what I have to go through to find high grade double bass necks!
