    Default D'Addario Shout Out

    Hi Everyone,

Just a quick shout out to D'Addario. It seems like a big company and I tend to overlook it for that reason, but it has recently shown me great customer service.

In my string searching over the last year D'Addario has sent me two free packs of Nickel Bronze strings and six individual 17 gauge strings to be as As. It is all a result of simply emailing the company and expressing frustration or suggesting something or other and I typically hear back the same day and am offered something generous as a result. In that regard, it's a great business.

    Thanks for the good service!

I'm soon to be in possession of a replacement D'Addario sound hole tuner for a 4 yr old unit that broke. All it took was an e-mail.

Anyone know if they do a complete Nylgut fifths set for a concert ukulele?

I think you’ll find Nylgut are made by Aquilla and not D’Addario. For what it’s worth Aquilla do make a fifths set for a concert uke using mandola tuning. I bought a set some years ago but only got round to fitting them a couple of months ago. I‘ve found them somewhat underwhelming!
