Frank, any chance you can you post (or email) the tabs (or notation, I can convert it) that you used for The Waltz You Saved for Me and The Lonesome Moonlight Waltz?

I love both tunes and can work through them by ear but working from something already in print would save this talentless individual a ton of time.

The version of the former that I have sounds nothing like yours and I don't think that is totally because of the way I transposed it from the guitar. Thanks, if you can.

HI SGreen, I learn and play everything by ear. I don't really plan anything, unless it's a straight cover. I just care about the melody, the song. Sometime it's hard to find with so many versions of so many songs. So it's good to read, but there's LOTS of bad tab out there, just say'n. Thanks again every one!

This is such a stunning performance that I don't know where to start. I've listened to it three times just this morning. Thanks.

Frank, you have taken a very popular waltz which is widely played by lots of different musicians and you have given it your own distinctive country flavour. The original was composed in 1959 by Pat Shuldham-Shaw and dedicated to Margaret Grant, representative in Devon of the English Folk Dance and Song Society on the occasion of her retirement. It became really popular here in Scotland when it was played by Shetland fiddler Aly Bain (among many other traditional players). We play it regularly at many of our sessions. Your version adds a whole new dimension for me!

Great sound with the new setup, Frank - though there was nothing wrong with your previous offerings! I really enjoyed Sleepwalk (used to play it on my Strat many, many years ago when I was a big fan of The Shadows, Ventures and other instrumental groups in the good old days of two guitars, bass and drums).
Never thought of Grapevine as a mandolin piece till I heard this version of yours.

Frank, I don’t hear many people play what you’ve been playing. It’s such delightful music to my ears. I’ve known most of these tunes forever, it seems, but I never think of them as mandolin-lead tunes. All I can think now is if I could play stuff like this, I surely would!

HA! I'm surprised at how many of your selections I have played. But that's across six decades, and groups from rock bands to Italian quintet to mandolin orchestra. PLEASE keep 'em comming!
