Not a mandolin, but here's a picture of Barry with the Dobro he completed in August 2021. It was his 3rd dobro, the the last one he sold. He was a great friend and I'll definitely miss him.

Condolences to Barry's family and friends.

I will miss seeing the evolution of Barry's and his wife's instruments. When I first decided to buy a mandolin, I called Barry to see if one of his might be located near me to try out. I did not know him, but I saw good reviews on the Mandolin Cafe. He did not know the location of any in this area. I mentioned an interest in perhaps building one myself. His voice lit up, and he emphatically suggested I give it a try. That's where I've been ever since, and I'm thankful for his encouragement.

    RIP Barry.

I'm sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to his friends and family.
