    Default Ome mandolins

Ome made their first mandolins in the spring of 1975. I bought #2 "A" model directly at the shop. The first 4 were made by Mike Kemnitzer. He also cut some inlays for future use that were similar to the vine and flowers seen on Tim O'Briens A Nugget. After that Mike had no further input on Ome mandolins. This should be noted when they come up for sale. Hope this helps.

FYI, some incorrect information in that ad.

Mike Kemnitzer contacted me and said he had no part in building that instrument, asked that his name be removed. Said he built tooling and prototypes but that particular mandolin is not one he worked on.

I was going to reply, but I forwarded the ad to Mike instead. Glad Mike contacted you with the correct information.
