    Default Reharmonization with bitonality

Bitonality is the use of only two different keys at the same time.

Quite interesting...it also shows how a folk tune could sound jazzy/and or 20th cent dissonant "classical" style.

    Thanks for the ear-opener.

Thank you for your response. Yes, I tried to combine folk song and classical music of the 20th century. You described it well.

This is perfect. Next time I forget to switch harmonicas between songs I’ll tell the band I’m experimenting with bitonality.

That was interesting, and a good choice of familiar tunes to demonstrate it.

    Pretty neat stuff!

Bill Frisell (with Ron Carter) does a great reharmonized version of You Are My Sunshine.
    The first man who whistled
thought he had a wren in his mouth.
    He went around all day
    with his lips puckered,
    afraid to swallow.

And if you mess up the rhythm, just say you're experimenting with polyrhythms. Who needs rules?
