Default Guess that rig - Jarrod Walker edition

    Hey everybody,

Here is a close-up photo of Jarrod Walker's duel pickup system. Any guesses as to what this gear is and how he probably mixes it?

I do not have a guess, but he has been a guest on Mandolins and Beer about 4 times or more. I think they talked pretty extensively about his gear. I've listened to them, but since I have little/no experience with pickups and mixing, those details don't tend to stick with me.

My guess would be internal mounted K& K twin pickup and Pro 35 AT external mic or DPA mic.

I can’t speak on the pickup but I think that’s a DPA 4099. I think I can see the microdot connector from here (microdot is the connection that DPA uses for their 4099 series mics). Though curious to know how it is attached there.

I would say it is definitely a DPA 4099

You can tell by the sloppy strips which join the windshield to the mounting shaft - its not mounted in the usual fashion.
