Default LL Waverly tuners in classifieds

Would one need documentation or does it matter?

I'd say the only reason for buying these is that you have a Loar with replaced tuners and you want to return it to something more like original condition. You might make the money back by bumping the price of said Loar up a little when you sell it.

Documentation wouldn't hurt, although there are a handful of known Loar experts who could confirm that these are the right tuners.

It doesn’t hurt to have documentation, especially for resell purposes) but the seller is a legend in the bluegrass scene. He’s owned plenty of Loars throughout the years and I’d trust he knows his stuff.

Plus, using the eye test these appear legit and original.

Yep those are the REAL deal folks, very, very nice indeed. I like the 5 screw per plate as the flower and oak leaf details are sweet. You just get a little more than the older 3 screw per plate. Pretty good price I think and yes there are many Loars that need those tuners so they'll be desirable to someone.
