A bunch of stuff with four strings
An obvious beauty! If its playable, I think it deserves a good owner and regular stage time. I bet the back story is a whopper!
“Like winds and sunsets, wild things were taken for granted until progress began to do away with them. Now we face the question whether a still higher ‘standard of living’ is worth its cost in things natural, wild and free.” -- Aldo Leopold

"Then one day we weren't as young as before
Our mistakes weren't quite so easy to undo

I'm a better man for just the knowin' of you."

All the parts on that puppy including the pre-fretted fretboard were available from the L.D. Heater catalog in Portland, Oregon in the 60's. I'm assuming other distributors around the country had them as well. I think they may have come from Harmony but I'm not sure. The knobs were a regular item available at electronics supply stores. I think the pickup is newer. Somebody built themself a solid little electric mandolin. It even has a strap hanger.

Okay-y-y-y-y ... But I was hoping for a view of said guitar, which this video does not provide. Curiosity piqued, searching for such imagery, I came upon this here article with a few photos and an interview video. So now I get it.
