Every niche has its own jargon and sometimes the same word means different things in different places. Sometimes the same thing gets called different things. don't think you have anything to be ashamed of. Though if you feel the need to do penance, you could get an OM.
I did the same thing when I stumbled onto the 8 string world And I wholly agree with Nevin! Of course, I'm a low end lover myself and, even though I don't do them justice, the silky OM tone makes me smile every time

The only penance you must do now is learn the proper term for the unique sound of an OM as used here on the Cafe, and that's "chorrnng."
Actually I'm not sure I spelled that right, is it one or two n's? Might have to do some penance myself...
