Material vs two part epoxy inlay

I am curious if anyone has used two part epoxy with dyes and pigments or other additives to create their inlays? In general woodworking it works well it seems and if you get creative and learn the process you can make it look like a lot of different products, that is my perception. But inlay is traditional and also looks great. So in my long winded approach anyone here using two part epoxy for their inlay work?
