For the mandolin player who likes the iconic tone of a Gibson A model from a hundred-plus years ago, but is looking for a bargain. The back, sides, and neck of this example have been nicely refinished, but the original varnish on the top was preserved. It also has a new, or more recent, ebony fingerboard and of course newish frets that show only very light wear. Original tuners, pickguard, and "The Gibson" tailpiece with cover. A couple of cracks to the back were repaired ages ago. A great sounding, and playing, Gibson A for a very reasonable price, comes with a recent TKL hardshell case. |
