Default A couple odd tenors on ebay

A couple interesting-looking 4-string guitars on ebay right now. NFI and I'm not buying, but I guess I'm happy to know they exist in the world:

Given the geometry and bridge position on the Yari, I doubt it sounds very good.

Was the intent to prove or disprove Charles' assertion? I'm confused ...

You will definitely not get the best potential from any soundboard if the place the bridge so far away from the centre but that is not to say it wont make a sound.
All those links sound fantastic but could of easily been electronically enhanced ?

You seem to have missed my point. Didn't want to come right out and say it, but I really dislike misinformation and misinterpretation, and I don't want to be a party to any such. So I'll be blunt. I don't much like the sound in any of these three clips. The best, or least worst, is in the first, which may well have been "electronically enhanced." There's something odd about that one note being so much louder than the rest; hints at a poor EQ setting. The one in the second clip sounds like a wooden box. The one in the third doesn't sound like much of anything, but that may be the result of the way it's being played. Or it may not. Anyway, none of these inspire much interest in me. Sorry for any offense; it's unlike me to post anything very negative. But I couldn't tolerate being misunderstood.

As always, my opinions are FWIW. YMMV.

JB, I agree, to me the Yari sounds very tinny and thin. I would like to hear the leather clad Les Paul tenor though.

Thanks for the samples, Huck! To borrow from Crocodile Dundee “Yeh, you can play ‘em, but they sound like $#17!!”
