Hi all. I have been using EJ 174s on my 1924 A2-Z but would like to change it up a bit. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Paul

A lot of the oval hole Gibsons sound really good with the following homemade set: 10 1/2 - 14 - 24 - 38 or 40. Use the alloy of your choice. I prefer nickel or 80/20 bronze these days. For my tastes, phosphor bronze is usually not the best fit for these instruments.
I typically install monels on my snakehead, starting with the old Gibson Sam Bush set that went obsolete and now with Curt Mangans.

I was surprised how much Straight Up Strings mediums changed my sound for the better on a 1918 A-4

I've gotten really nice performance from Elixir nano web mediums on my A2 and A3.
I like the GHS N250 or N270 pure nickel strings. I have the 250's on my '22 A2, and my Unicorn and the 270's on my Brentrup.
