    Hard to believe it's been over a month since Byron passed; hard to believe he passed so young. My wife and I met him at a camp a few years ago. He was very inclusive, accessible, and supportive. I was lucky to be able to buy a copy of his autobiography from him, "A Fiddler's Diary," and very much enjoyed reading it. I'm reading it again now, and again reminded what a gracious and gentle man he was. His stories are an entertaining part of Bluegrass history. And he played with absolutely everyone. A real loss.
