Can anyone identify this mandolin?
Can anyway identify this mandolin? It has no labels or stamps. Nothing to tell where it was made or by whom, or when. We're guessing 1930s but just a guess. Searched the net for arch top sun bursts but can find nothing similar. We're stumped. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.

It becomes a process of elimination. It wasn't made in the US. The zero fret pretty much guarantees that as does the slotted headstock. This actually looks familiar. It looks similar to some instruments that came out of East Germany but I haven't been able to find the same body shape. That's pretty unique even for the mandolinettos.
