I emailed to ask, but in the meantime, does anybody know if 11.5 is an option from Mapes?

Yes! I just got my strings this week. 11.5, 16, 26, 40. SO GOOD!

They definitely have the 11.5 gauge. I recently bought a custom set 11.5 16 26 41. My experience may not be typical, but they sounded great when I first put them on my '99 Flatiron Festival F, but soon faded away as far as tone and tuning. I don't know if it was the phosphor bronze alloy or something else but I wasn't happy with them. I have gotten so used to coated strings I guess. D'addarrio XT is my brand of choice.

The nickel plated I’ve had on for over a month still sound really good and hold tune real good. Just got my electric, acoustic and mandolin strings in today Click image for larger version.

Why not try a set w/ all wound strings (add the w after the gauge number)? It could give an interesting sound
