Super cool. Thank you so much! I’m assuming that’s a floating pickup? Off to read more about this interesting mandolin ...

Wow - love the playing and the new mando is stunning. Does it have the Schaller GrandTune machine heads, and if so, how are they?

    Hi Aaron,
I just wish I could make my Apitius J Model sound 1/10th as good as you can.
I had Oliver build me a Lefty (his second lefty ever). I love the sound and looks
my best friend said mini-Gretch also. Oliver knocked this one out of the park

    Keith,

Every time I pick up the instrument I'm dazzled by the sound AND I've never played a mando with a more comfortable neck. It's really thrilling. As for the look, I never thought about it as a Gretch. It reminds me more of a (mini) 1950's D'Angelico New Yorker. But it's its own thing for sure. And a good thing it is!!

Aaron, thanks for sharing your “unboxing” of this mandolin with your inspiring-as-usual playing. (I’m on Oliver’s waiting list, not BECAUSE I want to play like Aaron, ... well, truthfully, because indeed I DO want to play like Aaron, and since that’s a pipe dream, maybe if I can have an ax like his ... perhaps start wearing a bow-tie... )

That mando sounds so good in your hands. We'll take more videos any time you want to post them. Enjoy!

I'm excited to hear you're on the wait list. I started discussing a mandolin with Oliver in the summer of 2019 so it's been a bit of a wait for me too. And I can happily report that it was very much worth it.

Per your request, I've attached a photo of the back.

Thanks for posting, great playing and showmanship!

That mandolin really has great proportions. If I am reading the builder’s website right, it looks like the demand is so high you have to wait to get on the waiting list.

I believe that's true. But it is worth the wait (for the wait).
