Default Difference in build between a Northfield NF5S & Silverangel Econo

I bought a wonderful Northfield NF5S about a year ago and recently I've been thinking about maybe adding a Silverangel econo A to my Northfield mandolin. I really don't see any specs on the Silverangel site as to radius of the neck or thickness and the nut width etc. Just wondering how comfortable the necks are on the Silverangel econo mandolins and what kind of a tone and feel I'd get from the Northfield to the Silverangel. Do the mandolins come with cases or is that an extra charge?

    Thanks,

    Debbie

A number of folks here on the Cafe own them and seem to love them, maybe they will chime in. But you can't beat the price for a small shop, 100% American made mandolin.

Yep, I'd call or email Ken. He's very approachable and from what I know, he likes to talk about his work. Great guy! I'm on my third and last (it's a keeper, well the first two were also, but that's another story) one. All were very easy to play - not to mention sound great! Just my $.02
    Thanks

Several mandolins of varying quality-any one of which deserves a better player than I am.......

I love my Econo A, but I had mine custom made to my preferences... ask Ken about it and he can tell you what it has; neck profile, nut width, woods, etc.... I'm personally a big fan of SA mandolins and can't say enough good about them!

An outstanding price for n outstanding instrument, imo.

I loved the tone and your playing on the Silver angel Spencer. What kind of top is on that?
