Looking for the best mandolin luthiers in the Atlanta Georgia area.
Hello,
I am a flattop builder in LaGrange. Check out my website:

Thanks,
David
I think Mart Jacobsen is in the ATL area as well.

Builder or repair? As you know a luthier may specialize in one, t’other, or both.
You could ask the Atlanta Mandolin Orchestra: https://www.atlantamandolins.com/
They surely know able luthiers.
I do repair work and am in the Chattanooga area. I have considerable experience with vintage mandolins and guitars.
Best for what???????????
BB Poolman, what part of town are you in?... there are several good options, but since the metro Atlanta area is pretty big, where you are can help determine where you go.
Marty Jacobson is always a go to in my book! He's in the Smyrna/Mableton area about a 20 min drive for me from Marietta. Marty does great work all around and has helped me with several of my mandolins as well as my first build.
Atlanta Violins is north of the city in Roswell and has a few Mandolin luthiers on staff.
Maple Street Guitars is in town in Buckhead. But I think they are expensive and have a longer turnaround.
And Tom Haygood is Southwest of the city, in Peachtree city.
I'm sure there are others, but these are the ones I am aware of. Both Tom and Marty are active on the Mandolin Cafe and can be reached via MC Private Message

I have no financial interest in this, but I'm a fan of pancake mandolins. I currently only have two non-Flatiron Army Navy mandolins, a JBovier mandolin currently strung as a travel mandola, and a Cripple Creek which is loud even for a pancake. It made the cut and avoided the purge easily.
WAYYYYYYYYY more fun that sitting around talking for another hour about picks or fretwire! Count me in..... I'd get much more excited talking old cars; Do you still have the one you were showing off a couple of years ago? I think it was an old Corvair or something similar vintage....
Thanks for info. TI went to see Marty.
