This vintage Gibson - 1923 H-4 Mandola (Loar Period) is lovely sounding instrument that is resonant, open, and a very dynamic player. Here with gorgeous sunburst finish, this H-4 features a flat fingerboard with moderate fretwear on non-original smaller frets.
Repairs include both a neck joint and headstock break#(see photos), both are stable. The back binding has shrunk over the years and has pulled away in the concave curves of the back (see photos). Non-original pickguard. Includes the original hardshell case.
A fantastic sounding example of an#F-style, oval-hole, Loar era mandola. Contact us for more information regarding condition. |
