Default Favorite Christmas Song to play

I was playing with my neighbors this week and we got to playing Christmas songs. I really never thought about play Chrismas songs on the mandolin or with bluegrass folk. I have to say it sounded great and think it was our best "jam" yet. I found " silent night" to be my favorite. What's yours?

I got a copy of "A Smokey Mountain Christmas for Mandolin" and broke it out last night. As a novice, t was easy enough to play most of the simple melody versions, since I already know most of the songs. My husband was sitting nearby doing some writing, and he was enjoying the music. There was a cheery fire in the woodstove, and the cats were relaxing nearby. Next year am hoping I'll be tackling the "hard versions."

I especially enjoyed "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear".

"Beautiful Star of Bethlehem". Always think of the Emmy Lou album.

I play mandolin with our church Choir.
My favorite Christmas song to play is "Carols Around (and Around)".
The theme is the song is Dona Nobis Pacem (Grant us peace).
While some parts of the choir sing Dona Nobis Pacem, other parts of the choir sing assorted Christmas carols.
Meanwhile, I get to play the soprano's part on mandolin.

It was a challenge to learn, but a song of (to me) great beauty.

My favorite to play on mandolin is “Carol of the Bells”. There is the inner child though that loves to play Rudolph

Not sure if this would be called a favorite, but it was fun to participate in... worship band last year, I'm the one in the back playing the instrument you can't hear:
