What is your mandolin background? Do you already have a mandolin or are you just starting out? What kinds of music do you play or are interested in playing?

I'm guessing with the right set up both would be equal to each other. Which finish do you like?
Hi, I have an old Ibanez F style from the 70's....not much neck angle and getting the bridge to fit is a pain. I'm 69 years and want ONE good mandolin to play.
I'm trying to get the best I can afford, like the finish on both and was wondering which would be the best one to purchase
Any particular reason that you have limited yourself to those two? The reason I ask is because if you are considering buying those new then it puts you into a budget area where you might consider some others. Whatever you buy, if you buy it from a forum sponsor it will arrive properly setup which will make your life a lot easier.
