Default Minuscule mandolin on eBay UK

Tiny bowlback by Carlo Miroglio for sale on eBay UK

The photo shows it with a normal size mandolin. It has a scale length of 7.75 inches and is presumably intended to be tuned an octave higher. I find this kind of quirky stuff fun, but £95 + postage makes it a pricey bit of rather short-lived fun.

Exceptionally cute but I wonder whether it will actually play or sound like much. I guess you can get a sense by putting a capo on the 10th or 11th, maybe 12th fret of a regular mandolin. You may need very small fingers.

That's tiny. It's even smaller than Bob Clark's piccolo mandolin "kittens".

I saw this a few days ago and was also tempted but not at that price since it'd be a cute/fun thing and probably too small for my fingers.

    More like a mandolin-shaped ukulele?
