    Default Levin Model 42 (1948)

I just got a Levin from Sweden. Pretty nice for the price about 400 Euro.I guess it is like a A 40 or A50.
    What do you think?

Sounds great, I would buy one for that price with that sound, and I don't even need or want another mandolin. Well........

Wow, that sounds great; if that had crossed my path I'd have paid more for it! Think you got a real bargain!
Had no idea Levin made such fine-sounding mandos.

Nice. Got a good sound to it. Better than the couple of Levin's I've heard around here.

I think Bob Page who posts a bunch of fine instruments here on the Café and on Gbase "NFI" has some old Levin's for sale, I think some higher end ones with F-holes and raised fretboards, He had a really Kool looking 2 point! Don't know if he still has it though?

Love it. I've got a real soft spot for cheap mandolins that sound great!

Sounds great. Most Levin mandolins were flat top oval holes and noithing like the sound you've got from that. Good buy indeed.
